In 2013 “Capture the Spirit of Ramadan” gathered the world’s largest modern Islamic themed photography collection from over 60 countries, the best of which are published in a print photography book by StudioBasel. ==Submission Guidelines==

The competition has specific rules and guidelines to be followed by all participants.
*Participants must be 18 years or older to participate.
*Photos submitted must be of the current Ramadan year.
*Photos can be submitted till the last day of Ramadan〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Photography contest to capture the spirit of Ramadan )
*Participants should portray what participants perceive to be the “true essence” of Ramadan.〔
*Mobile phone cameras cannot be used to obtain the photographs being submitted.
*The photos must fit into one of three categories which are: Architecture, Spirituality and Culture.
Each photographer may submit up to three photographs a day during the month of Ramadan.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Photography contest: The spirit of Ramadan )〕 Once submitted, photographs will be judged upon the criteria of Impact and Message, Creativity and Photographic Quality and Technique.
